ReAction Theatre was founded in 2011 by Artistic Director Louise Howlett, predominately to present new and contemporary Australian text-based theatre pieces. Based in Melbourne, Australia, ReAction Theatre brings together a team of artists and experts, on a project by project basis, to collaborate on the development of new theatrical and text-based works. We have successfully presented a wide range of new Australian works in a range of traditional and non-traditional theatre spaces. Lately, the company’s focus has been on its most ambitious project to date, ‘SECRET OF THE RAFT’ - a production that incorporates 3D projection mapping, installation, interactive participation, and live performance. So far, the work undertaken has included a residency with Arena Theatre, a collaboration with RMIT to develop complex digital sequences, two creative developments/showings, and a partnership with the Alliance Française.
