Children’s Theatre Company of Minneapolis, MN, now in its 47th season, is the world’s leading creator and producer of theatre for young people in the English language. Established in 1965, Children’s Theatre has served more than 10,000,000+ young people and their families to date. CTC is notably the only Theatre for Young Audiences to win the Regional Tony Award (2003) and has been nominated for 3 additional Tony awards for its work in New York.  Under the leadership of Artistic Director Peter Brosius and Managing Director Tim Jennings, CTC’s  new play laboratory, THRESHOLD, works with leading playwrights to create world premiere productions: Nilo Cruz, Greg Banks, Jeffrey Hatcher, Kia Corthrun, Naomi Iizuka and Cheryl West to name a few.

CTC also runs several nationally recognized educational programs, including the acclaimed Neighborhood Bridges program that is being used as a national model for critical literacy in over 12 States.

Children's Theatre Company and Seattle Children's Theatre, the two leading theatres for young audiences in the nation, have partnered to establish Plays for Young Audiences (PYA).

PYA is a centralized clearinghouse for licensing rights of scripts written for young audiences. Through its service to the larger children's theatre community, PYA will be a catalyst to drive the field of theatre for young people to new heights.
