Milenic, Zarko (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Zarko Milenic was born on 14 January 1961 in the district of Brcko in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Trade in Belgrade in 1987. After graduation, he moved to Osijek in Croatia where he worked as a freelance journalist. From the beginning of 1999 he lived in Rijeka (Croatia) and worked as a freelance journalist editor for the literary magazine Literary Rijeka and as editor for books of foreign authors in the Croatian Writers Society in Rijeka. Since 2003 he has been a full-time writer and translator from English, Russian, Macedonian, Bulgarian and Slovenian. He has published over twenty books of prose in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since 2006 he lives in Brcko district, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He speaks English and Russian. He is member of the Croatian and Bosnian Writer’s Association and the Croatian Association of Theatre Artists.

Milenic has written a dozen stage plays, also radio plays, one TV play and three film scripts. His plays are performed in the theatres of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia and one of them is translated on English. His radio plays are broadcast in Slovenia and Croatia.
